Welcome to the RFNM Community Forum

I hope this forum will foster conversation about New Music as well as provide a space to share our collective knowledge, advice, and opinions as questions arise about related topics.

Questions and comments may cover topics including (but not limited to) aesthetics, musical trends, performing, technology, recording, scoring, music theory and history, improvisation, teaching, orchestration/instrumentation, sound design, instrument building, tuning, interactivity, collaboration, multimedia, etc.

    A few basic guidelines:

It’s okay to dislike someone’s music – even passionately – but please refrain from personal attacks. Overt intentional bigotry will not be tolerated. Try to keep conversation somewhat civil.

It’s okay to post links related to New Music and even to promote your musical efforts within reason but please don’t spam.

Links to sites unrelated to New Music will be removed.

Please make sure you’re in the right place (please see “What do you mean by “New Music”?” if you aren’t sure what the term refers to).

If you think someone is abusing the forum, please let me know.
